A new partnership in South Calgary
We are delighted to announce that Nibras has partnered with Al-Ummah Masjid, formerly the Islamic Center of South Calgary, to run all of its Quran and Arabic reading programs.
Since September 2026, Al-Ummah's teachers, students and parents have used Nibras together, from the first class of the year onwards.
What Nibras brings to the school
- Teachers record every class in a few taps: what each student recited, the homework for next time, and who was there.
- Parents follow their children's homework, grades and teacher notes as they happen, on the web and in the Nibras app.
- The school sees every halaqa and every student's progress in one place, from the placement test to the end of the term.
Two schools, one platform
- Al-Ummah Saturday School: Al-Ummah Quran Academy's weekend school, on Saturdays from September 12, 2026 to June 26, 2027. Students learn Arabic, Quran and Islamic Studies, with a focus on character, spiritual growth and strong foundations in reading and understanding the Quran. Classes are at 180 Legacy Main St SE, Unit 110, Calgary. See the program.
- Ummah Quran Evening School: Monday to Thursday evenings from October 1, 2026 to August 10, 2027, covering recitation, Tahfeez (memorization) and general Islamic studies. See the program.
